Abstract
⺠Quasi two-day wave (QTDW) is studied using a multi-year simulation of the CMAM. ⺠The QTDW in the CMAM exhibits a variable phase speed over the summer season. ⺠A 2-day wave index is defined using EOF analysis. ⺠The QTDW is found to be a source of variability of summer mesopause temperatures.
