Abstract
⺠We use ASPERA-3 to classify particle asymmetries during electron precipitation at Mars. ⺠Most common type of energy distribution is of isotropic electrons and upward heavy-ions. ⺠Distributions suggesting upward currents observed four times more than downward currents. ⺠Heavy-ion flow at Mars mostly unaffected by electron precipitation due to finite gyro-radius. ⺠Acceleration of heavy-ions is rarely observed during electron precipitation.
