Abstract
⺠The International Space Station ISS is a microbiologically safe working and living habitat. ⺠Present prevention, monitoring and disinfection protocols aboard ISS are the strict minimum. ⺠Current efforts and limitations motivate the development of new methods. ⺠New detection tools should be automated online and capable of simultaneous quantification and identification.
