Abstract
⺠A study of Martian dune fields has been done to measure the wind orientation responsible for dune geometry. ⺠Wind directions deduced from dune geometry are partially in agreement with current wind-patterns. ⺠Martian dune fields are constituted, in some cases, by active and fossil dunes. ⺠Martian dune fields are able to preserve information on paleoclimates over extensive periods.
