Abstract
Good quality transparent single crystals of L-Ornithine monohydrochloride was grown by slow evaporation technique. The grown crystals were analysed utilizing different instrumentation techniques to check its usefulness in the fabrication of the device. The determination of non linear refractive index (n2), absorption coefficient (β) and third order non linear susceptibility (χ3) was determined by Z-scan technique, highlighted that LOMHCl can serve as a promising candidate in the domain of nonlinear optics.63
