Abstract
Co-Fe-B nanoparticles were prepared by chemical reduction of CoCl2·6H2O and FeSO4·7H2O salts in aqueous solution of sodium borohydride (NaBH4) in presence of the polyvinyl-pirrolydone (PVP). The experimental results indicate that the amount of PVP, Fe/Co ratio and the temperature of the chemical synthesis are important parameters which have to be controlled in order to obtain nanoparticles with desired dimensions, nanostructure and soft magnetic properties with suitable properties for high frequency applications.
