Abstract
CoxNi1âx (x=0-0.5) nanotube arrays with different component contents were prepared by Electrodeposition Method. X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurement indicates that low Co content (xâ¤0.5) does not change their crystal structure. The direction of easy magnetization changes from being parallel with to being perpendicular to the direction of the nanotube axes, with Co content increasing from 0 to 0.5. This study suggests that the drastic change of magnetic anisotropy is attributed to the competition between the shape and magnetocrystalline anisotropies.
