Abstract
Magnetic measurements and neutron powder diffraction investigation of the magnetic structure of the La3NiGe2-type Ho3NiGe2 compound are presented. It is found that below TC=43 K Ho3NiGe2 exhibits a commensurate ac-plane mixed antiferromagnetic-ferromagnetic ordering with Pn׳ma magnetic space group. At 1.5 K the holmium magnetic moment reaches the value of 9.1(2)μB.
