Abstract
We performed systematic experiments to qualitatively investigate the localized spins of curved helical graphite carbon nanotubes (HCNTs). Our results show that the HCNTs have strong Curie-like paramagnetism and a high density of localized spins, which can be enhanced further by annealing the as-prepared HCNTs at 500 °C.
