Abstract
► A Blume-Capel model with quenched random crystal fields is examined. ► Relaxation time diverges in the neighborhood of isolated critical point. ► Relaxation time makes a finite jump discontinuity at low temperatures. ► Dispersion factor shows a shallow dip when T→Tc for the high frequency region. ► Absorption factor exhibits a local maxima as T→Tc for the high frequency region.
