Abstract
⺠Highly crystalline pure MgFe2O4 nanoparticles were synthesized by low temperature combustion. ⺠Effect of ac magnetic field and nanoparticles concentration on heating characteristics of MgFe2O4 nanoparticles was studied. ⺠Combustion synthesized MgFe2O4 nanoparticles show highest specific absorption rate of 297 Wgâ1. ⺠The reported high value of specific absorption rate is advantageous for its use in magnetic particle hyperthermia.
