Abstract
► [Fe/Pt]16 multilayers are deposited on LAO substrate at different substrate temperatures. ► (001)-preferred L10-FePt films are obtained at deposition temperature of 400 °C. ► Out-of-plane coercivity is 5.69 K Oe and 16.3 K Oe for substrate temperature of 400 °C and 500 °C, respectively. ► Surface structure is single-domain islands at substrate temperature of 500 °C. ► Improved magnetic properties are ascribed to the decreased tetragonal distortion of the film grown at high temperature.
