Abstract
In this paper, an efficient modification of the homotopy perturbation method by using optimal Lagrange interpolation polynomials is presented. The proposed method is easy to implement and computationally very attractive. This proposed method can be applied to linear and nonlinear models. A comparative study between the proposed method and the homotopy perturbation method using Taylor series is presented. The schemes are tested for some examples and the results demonstrate reliability and efficiency of the modified method.
