Abstract
► Immobilization of ionic liquid on the surface of magnetite nanoparticles yields IL-SCMNPs. ► Reaction of IL-SCMNPs with phosphotungstic acid afforded PW-IL-SCMNPs. ► The prepared PW-IL-SCMNPs showed superparamagnetic property.
