Abstract
⺠Large ferroelectricity and strong ferromagnetism were observed in barium hexaferrite ceramics. ⺠The maximum remanent polarization of the BaFe12O19 ceramic was estimated to be 11.8 μC cmâ2. ⺠The FeO6 octahedron and off-center shift of Fe3+ are suggested to be the origin of the polarization.
