Abstract
⺠The ionicity of Fe3O4 was determined as 0.879 by the density functional theory. ⺠The ionicities of spinel ferrites were estimated by a quantum mechanical method. ⺠A quantum mechanical method estimating ionicity is suitable for II-VI compounds. ⺠The ion distributions of MFe2O4 are calculated by current ionicities values.
