Abstract
⺠In electrical steels, coercive field (Hc) depends linearly on the reciprocal of grain size (GS). ⺠Slope of such dependence lies around 0.9 (A/m)mm at 1.0 T maximum induction. ⺠Possibility of an inverse square root proportionality Hcâ1/sqrt(GS) is to be discarded. ⺠Slope and y-intercept of the Hcâ1/GS relation grow with maximum induction (Bmax). ⺠A general relation can be obtained, with average deviation below 4%: Hc=22B0.50â0.89(B0.13/â).
