Abstract
► Interlayer coupling between Pt/Co multilayer separated by thin IrMn film is studied. ► Coupling is ferromagnetic at low thickness of IrMn (between 0.6 and 1.2 nm). ► Coupling vanishes between the blocking and the Néel temperature of IrMn. ► We model the coupling by considering a tilt of the interfacial IrMn spins. ► Non-oscillatory coupling is attributed to the compensated spin structure of IrMn.
