► If we neglect the coupling between the mechanical behavior and the superconductivity, the critical current density is the constant in the superconductor with the Bean model (upper figure). ► On the contrary, the critical current density reaches the minimum in the center of the cylinder, where the volume change is the maximum (bottom figure).
