Abstract
► Lateral displacement brings obvious influence on levitation force of a magnetized bulk superconductor magnet (MBSCM). ► Three different typical permanent magnet guideway (PMG) were involved. ► Asymmetrical field structure of PMG means more serious attenuation of levitation force. ► Energy loss within MBSCM during lateral displacement above a PMG is the essential reason. ► Trapped field of MBSCM will influence the field of PMG and bring quite different attenuation of levitation force.
