Abstract
The VERITAS collaboration has been observing VHE (E>100GeV) gamma rays since 2007. It has recently completed major upgrades of the photomultiplier tubes and pattern trigger. More than a year after these implementations, these efforts have shown to improve the performance with better noise reduction, faster source detection and lowered energy threshold. Further benefits are also expected from these upgrades.
