Abstract
- The structural, electronic and optical properties of armchair stanene nanoribbons.
- Buckled honeycomb structure of two dimensional (2D) stanene is preserved.
- The band gap values might be tuned with nanoribbon width.
- The band gap values are categorized according to modulo 3 of integer ribbon width N.
- The optical properties are anisotropic with respect to the polarization of light.
- Anisotropy in the optical properties is due to the quasi-2D nature of the structure.
