Abstract
The high-temperature mechanical properties of spun-yarn type carbon fabric/carbon composites (spun-type C/C composites) were evaluated. The high-temperature tensile strength of spun-type C/C composites slightly increases with increasing the test temperature. The spun-type C/C composite shows higher high-temperature tensile property than the filament-yarn type carbon fabric/carbon composite. The high-temperature compressive strength of the spun-type C/C composite remains almost constant with increasing test temperature.
