Long-term Outcomes and Quality of Life of 186 Patients With Primary Parotid Carcinoma Treated With Surgery and Radiotherapy at the Daniel den Hoed Cancer Center

Of the entire group, surgery and postoperative radiotherapy resulted in excellent outcomes with minimal side effects and preservation of good QOL scores. However, in view of the pattern of failures observed in this study, the role of adjuvant systemic or targeted therapy in patients at high risk of DM should be investigated in prospective trials.
