Abstract
A new method for welding SiCp/ZL101, liquid-phase-impact diffusion welding (LPIDW), was put forward. The effect of LPIDW parameters on the welded joint property was investigated, and the optimal welding parameters were brought forward at the same time. The microstructure of joint was analyzed by means of scanning electron microscope and transmission electron microscope in order to study the relationship between the macro-properties of joint and the microstructure. Results show that by LPIDW, the aluminum matrix composite SiCp/ZL101 has been welded successfully, and the work efficiency has been improved enormously.
