Abstract
The model to study the wear kinetics and shape variation of the surfaces of coated bodies with given microgeometry at the interface is presented. The model is based on the wear contact problem solution for the layered elastic body. The microgeometry at the interface between elastic layer and substrate is described by the periodic function. This study makes it possible to analyze the dependence of the worn surface shape and pressure redistribution on parameters of the interface microgeometry, and on the relative coating and substrate mechanical and tribotechnical characteristics.
