Abstract
We present a model for acoustic wave propagation in a porous material which also allows for propagation of a thermal wave. We provide a thermodynamic development of a Darcy law theory which is consistent with a relaxation time for the heat flux. Nonlinear acceleration wave evolution is considered in detail.
