Abstract
The generalized differential quadrature (GDQ) method was used to compute the transient response of laminated magnetostrictive plate under thermal vibration. The GDQ solutions were obtained for the three-layer (0°m/90°/0°) of laminated magnetostrictive plates under four simply supported edges. The transient responses of thermal stresses and center displacement with and without shear effect were presented, respectively in the thin and thick plate.
