Abstract
⺠The Weierstrass sigma-function is generalized to an arbitrary Riemann surface of any genus. ⺠Each odd spin structure gives rise to an odd sigma-function; each even spin structure gives rise to an even sigma-function. ⺠Modular properties of the generalized sigma-function are studied.
