Abstract
Our results suggest epithelium cell-specific Cdc42 deletion leads to tooth hypomaturation and transformation of the enamel prism structure that is likely due to altered ameloblast morphology and the secretion of enamel matrix proteins and proteases. This is the first in vivo evidence suggesting that Cdc42 is essential for proper tooth development and amelogenesis.
