Abstract
⺠Fibrosis can affect any organ including the lung, skin, heart, kidney and liver. ⺠45% of deaths can now be attributed to diseases where fibrosis plays a major role. ⺠Acute or chronic inflammatory responses are critical in driving fibrosis. ⺠Here we examine the evidence for cytokines driving fibrosis in injured tissue.
