Abstract
⺠Evidence suggests that vascular factors play an important role in pathogenesis of AD. ⺠First, we found that LPA induces increased production of Aβ. ⺠Second, LPA induces increased Aβ production via upregulating β-secretase expression. ⺠Third, PKCδ is involved in LPA-induced β-secretase expression and Aβ production. ⺠Cardiovascular risk factors may contribute to AD by increasing Aβ production.
