Abstract
⺠AGE-modified catalase was identified during aging in rat liver mitochondria. ⺠A mild decrease in catalase activity was measured. ⺠Glycation of catalase with fructose led to its inactivation. ⺠Catalase and GPX-1 colocalization suggests a synergy of both facing age-related oxidative stress.
