Abstract
⺠ER stress impairs MHC-I surface expression in thyroid cells. ⺠Thyroid cells undergoing ER stress are more susceptible to NK-mediated lysis. ⺠Thyroid cells undergoing ER stress stimulate INF-γ production by NK cells. ⺠These results suggest a possible new role of ER stress and NK activation in thyroid autoimmunity.
