Abstract
⺠F2-Isoprostanes (IsoPs) are products of free radical-catalyzed lipid peroxidation. ⺠Isofurans (IsoFs) are formed instead of F2-IsoPs when oxygen tension is elevated. ⺠GC/MS is used to measure F2-IsoPs and IsoFs as biomarkers of oxidative stress. ⺠F2-IsoPs and IsoFs are increased in a variety of human conditions and diseases.
