Abstract
⺠We describe a radiometric assay for determination of platelet-activating factor (PAF) acetylhydrolase activity. ⺠This convenient method is based on the release of [3H]acetate from [acetyl-3H]PAF. ⺠Separation between substrate and product is achieved using disposable cartridges. ⺠We also describe other approaches for measurement of PAF acetylhydrolase activity. ⺠Pros and cons of various methodologies are discussed.
