Abstract
⺠4-Hydroxynonenal (HNE) catabolism is inhibited in ischemic rat heart and by exogenous fatty acids. ⺠Altered β oxidation regulates HNE catabolism. ⺠Inhibited catabolism of HNE increases protein modification.
