Abstract
⺠“Oxidative damage intolerance“ contributes to human autoimmunity. ⺠We describe protocols to study serum antibodies against oxidatively modified antigens. ⺠Step 1: chemically modify the antigen and physicochemically characterize the product. ⺠Step 2: immunoblot oxidatively modified antigen with patient sera or purified IgG/IgM. ⺠Step 3: measure serum autoantibodies against oxidatively modified antigen by ELISA.
