Abstract
- Bilateral GPi-DBS is a safe, effective treatment for medically refractory dystonia.
- Acute mood effects have been reported in association with STN-DBS.
- We report the first case of reversible mood change induced by GPi-DBS in dystonia.
- One should be vigilant for mood effects following DBS implantation and programming.
