Abstract
⺠We quantified age-dependent miRNA expression in the brain of two N. furzeri strains with different life-spans. ⺠Age-regulated miRNAs have interactions with MYC and/or with TP53. ⺠Three of the regulated miRNAs were previously shown to contribute to age-dependent gene regulation in the human cerebral cortex. ⺠N. furzeri age-dependent miRNA expression appears to be evolutionarily conserved. ⺠Short lifespan in GRZ could partially be due to deregulated miRNA expression.
