Abstract
⺠We isolated EP lines showing significantly longer lifespan than control flies from a large-scale preliminary screen. ⺠Forty-five EP lines from the screen and a ubiquitous daughterless (da)-Gal4 stock were isogenized to a CS10 wild-type background. ⺠By examining lifespan of these coisogenic EP lines under da-Gal4 driver, 15 longevity genes were finally identified. ⺠Some of these genes confirmed previous longevity processes, others suggest new mechanisms for the control of aging.
