Abstract
⺠Sea urchins are novel model animals for studying aging and negligible senescence. ⺠Muscle, esophagus and nerve tissue show age-related changes in gene expression. ⺠With age there is increased expression of genes involved in protein homeostasis. ⺠With age there is increased expression of components of Notch signaling pathway. ⺠With age there is decreased expression of components of Wnt signaling pathway.
