Abstract
⺠Mice differing in life span-extending response to caloric restriction (CR) were studied. ⺠Age-related increases in protein oxidation were dependent on genotype and tissue. ⺠Attenuation of protein oxidation by CR was genotype and tissue specific. ⺠The effect of CR on protein oxidation did not fully accord with life-span extension.
