Abstract
⺠Diperoxovanadate is known to substitute H2O2, at concentrations an order of magnitude lower, in peroxidation activity, not obtained with vanadate alone ⺠We show that DPV induces SIPS-like morphology and molecular markers of senescence more profoundly compared to equimolar concentration of H2O2. ⺠Diperoxovanadate is an efficient form of peroxide for not only inducing premature cellular senescence but also a useful tool to study cytoskeletal rearrangement.
