Abstract
⺠3 months-continuous environmental enrichment improves cognitive abilities in adult female NMRI mice, including learning and memory. ⺠Behavioral improvement is not correlated with changes in the expression of synaptic plasticity within neuronal networks, such as theta burst-induced LTP. ⺠Environmental enrichment delivered in aged NMRI mice at middle life span does not rescue age-related deficits of learning and memory.
