Abstract
In this paper, we investigate the bb-family equation with a weakly dissipative term. First, we present a new criterion on the blow-up phenomenon of the solution. Then the global existence and the persistence property of the solution are also established. Finally, we discuss the infinite propagation speed for this equation.
