Abstract
The viscous flow due to a stretching sheet with slip and suction is studied. The Navier–Stokes equations admit exact similarity solutions. For two-dimensional stretching a closed-form solution is found and uniqueness is proved. For axisymmetric stretching both existence and uniqueness are shown. The boundary value problem is then integrated numerically.
