Abstract
We study a nonlinear predator–prey model in which the prey population is affected by a serious but curable disease which causes mortality and it is assumed an age-structure in the prey population. We suppose that the predator population grows according to a logistic law. Using mainly a decoupling technique and a fixed point theorem, we prove the existence and uniqueness of a positive solution to this model.
