Abstract
⺠The preclinical assessment of antivenom efficacy is discussed. ⺠The mouse lethality assay is analyzed and some caveats discussed. ⺠Additional tests for assessing specific effects are described. ⺠The use of 'Antivenomics' in antivenom analysis is presented.
