Abstract
⺠Scatophagus argus can induce painful wounds with partial paralysis in injured limb to whom that touch its rough spines. ⺠Edematic effect on mice paw is dose dependent response and is increased during 30 min and reduces gradually over 48 h. ⺠The crude venom possesses hemolytic activity on human erythrocyte. ⺠Generation of necrosis is due to the toxic effects of the hemolytic and phospholipase C (PLC) protein existing in the venom.
